Mermaid

Enlightenment: the sea is the cradle of all life and has within her depths the wisdom of the ages. The mermaid holds in her hands the glowing orb of enlightenment which is the true light in the heart of the deep.

Sirens Song: the song of the siren has lured many a sailor to his untimely death in the tumultuous arms of mother sea. The beauty of the ocean is so intriguing she masks her dangers in a gossamer cloth of mystery.

First born: In my musing over one of my favorite creatures of myth, the mermaid, and how she would reproduce her kind; I created First Born.

Balance: this piece embodies the balance and beauty of the astrological sign of Libra. She was created when a Libra friend of mine had a prophetic dream about my mermaid series and told me that the dream instructed her to tell me this series needs to be seen by the world.
